A five-metre 100 Gigabit QSFP28 direct-attach copper cable, the longest of the three standard lengths in this family. It reaches across several racks in a row and suits spine-to-leaf connections that stay inside a single hall. With each end at about 0.1 W and a commercial 0 to 70 degrees C rating, it avoids the heat and cost of two optical modules. Connectors are permanently attached and the link runs as 100G on four 25G lanes, with no breakout capability. The vendor guide lists the cable as an interconnect for 100G QSFP28 ports. The vendor guide lists support on the CX 6300, 6400, 8100, 8325, 8360, 8400X, 9300, 9300S, 10000 and 10040 families, with software releases and port limits noted per model. The same family includes the 1 m R0Z25A and the 3 m JL307A. When the distance exceeds five metres, an AOC or a QSFP28 optical module is the usual alternative.
