A three-metre direct-attach copper cable for 100 Gigabit Ethernet, fitted with QSFP28 plugs on each end. It covers adjacent-rack distances and is a lower-cost, lower-power alternative to a pair of 100G optical modules and fibre. Each end draws roughly 0.1 W, and the temperature range is the commercial 0 to 70 degrees C. It connects two 100G QSFP28 ports natively and does not split into four 25G links. Permanent connectors mean nothing to match or clean. The vendor guide describes the cable as for interconnecting 100 Gigabit QSFP28 ports.
