Description
A one-metre 100 Gigabit direct-attach copper cable with QSFP28 connectors on both ends, designed for connecting two 100G ports a short distance apart. It is used between switches in the same rack or between a switch and a storage or compute system within reach. The vendor lists power at about 0.1 W per end and a commercial 0 to 70 degrees C range. The cable is a native 100G link and is not a 4x25G breakout. Connectors are permanent, so no optics or fibre cleaning are needed. It runs as a four-lane 25G link. The vendor guide lists support on the CX 6300, 6400, 8100, 8325, 8360, 8400X, 9300, 9300S, 10000 and 10040 families, with software releases and port limits noted per model. Longer cables in the series are JL307A at 3 m and R0Z26A at 5 m. Copper cables should be routed within the minimum bend radius.
