Description
An extended-reach 25 Gigabit SFP28 multimode module that doubles the usable distance of a standard SR optic. Over OM3 fibre it covers 200 m, and over OM4 fibre it reaches 400 m, which allows spine-leaf and campus-aggregation links across a larger floor or between neighbouring halls without moving to single-mode. It transmits at 850 nm with output between -8.4 and +2.4 dBm, and the receiver accepts -10.3 to +2.4 dBm. DOM data is partly supported. Power requirement is about 1.2 W, and the operating range is the commercial 0 to 70 degrees C. Each end connects with duplex LC multimode cable. On CX models that arrange SFP28 ports in groups, such as the 8325 and 10000, the group speed must be left at or set to 25G. A TAA-compliant sibling, S5U10A, appears in the same specification table.
