Description
A five-metre 40 Gigabit QSFP+ direct-attach copper cable and the longest in this three-cable series. It covers connections across several racks in one row, such as spine-to-leaf links over a short span, with no transceivers to purchase or clean. Each end uses roughly 0.1 W and the cable is rated for 0 to 70 degrees C. Ends are permanently attached. Both devices should offer 40G QSFP+ ports or QSFP28 ports set to 40G speed. The vendor guide lists support for the 2930M via its QSFP+ module, plus the 8320, 8325, 8360, 8400X, 9300 and 10000 families, with software releases and port-group conditions noted per model. It does not split into 10G lanes. For runs longer than 5 m, an AOC or an optical module such as the SR4 type is the next step.
