A three-metre 10 Gigabit SFP+ direct-attach cable with fixed connectors on both ends. At this length it spans adjacent racks or covers a run from a switch at the bottom of a cabinet to a server near the top, while still avoiding the optics and fibre needed for an equivalent optical link. Each end draws roughly 0.1 W, and the cable is listed for 0 to 70 degrees C. Because the copper is built in, no cleaning, loss budget or transceiver matching is involved, and both ports must simply be 10G SFP+ capable. It does not provide 1G operation. On several CX models using SFP28 ports, the port group must be set to 10G first, and the 8325 32C and 8325P models list the cable as unsupported. For shorter runs the 1 m version is the neighbouring part, and for racks further apart the 7 m version is available.
