The QSFP-100G-CU5M is a passive copper cable for 100 Gigabit Ethernet, 5 m long, with a QSFP28 connector at each end. Choose it for rows of cabinets where the cable must leave one rack, cross a short gap and enter the next. Cisco's 100GBASE QSFP-100G data sheet lists it as a 100GBASE-CR4 direct-attach cable carrying four 25G lanes each way. Seat each plug until it latches, then give the cable a gentle tug to confirm the pull-tab latch has engaged. As a pre-terminated unit, it removes the need to match, stock or clean separate pluggable modules at either end. The twinax bundle is thicker and stiffer than 10G or 25G cables, so leave room for a gentle bend at each connector. It links two QSFP28 ports directly; the passive build means very low power draw and no digital diagnostics. It is intended for data-centre environments and has a standard commercial temperature range. Plan the route before ordering, because a fixed-length cable cannot be shortened or extended later.
