The QSFP-100G-CU1M is a passive copper cable for 100 Gigabit Ethernet, 1 m long, with a QSFP28 connector at each end. It fits the shortest runs, such as a switch feeding a server or patch panel a few rack units away in the same cabinet. Cisco's 100GBASE QSFP-100G data sheet lists it as a 100GBASE-CR4 direct-attach cable carrying four 25G lanes each way. It is intended for data-centre environments and has a standard commercial temperature range. Both connector ends use the same housing style, so the cable has no preferred direction when installed. Check the host platform's supported-cable list before deploying, as support varies by switch family and software release. Store unused lengths coiled loosely in their bag so the jacket and strain reliefs keep their shape. The twinax bundle is thicker and stiffer than 10G or 25G cables, so leave room for a gentle bend at each connector.
