A very short 25 Gigabit SFP28 direct-attach cable, 0.65 m long, with permanent connectors on both ends. Its size suits connections between adjacent switches in a stack-like arrangement, or links inside one cabinet where devices sit just above each other. Because it replaces two transceivers and a patch cord, each end consumes only around 0.1 W. The commercial 0 to 70 degrees C range applies. It is meant for 25G ports and will not run 10G on cages that are fixed to 25G, so port groups on models like the 8325, 8360 and 10000 may need to be left at the default 25G. In the vendor compatibility table this shortest cable is not listed for the 8400X modules, unlike the 3 m and 5 m versions. Longer cables in the same line are JL488A at 3 m and JL489A at 5 m.
