An ultra-short-reach SFP+ built to Juniper's own 10G-USR definition, part code 740-030658, rather than an IEEE standard. It targets very short in-rack and row-to-row links, where its lower reach requirement lets the optic use less power than a full 10GBASE-SR module. Juniper lists 10 m on OM1, 30 m on OM2 and 100 m on OM3, with OM4 compatible. The 840 to 860 nm transmitter uses duplex LC, and the range is 0 to 70 degrees C. Cabling for QFX-SFP-10GE-USR: use a duplex multimode patch cable with LC connectors, OM3 or OM4 preferred for the longest reach. The headline reach is 100 m on OM3, so measure the installed link loss before ordering.
