Description
A 400 Gigabit QSFP-DD module with eight 50G PAM4 lanes at 850 nm over parallel multimode fibre, terminated in a 16-fibre MPO connector. It is a short-reach optic for high-density data-centre spine and leaf links, with 70 m on OM3 and 100 m on OM4 or OM5. Transmit power is -6.5 to +4 dBm and receive power is -8.4 to +4 dBm. It supports DOM, requires up to 10 W and runs from 0 to 70 degrees C. The connector uses APC polish. The vendor guide lists it for the CX 9300 from release 10.10.1000 and for the 10040 32C6D models, and as not supported on the 9300S. It can be optically split into lower-speed channels where the switch permits, as described in the vendor split-optics section. Matching SR8 optics or a suitable breakout assembly is needed at the other end.
