Description
A seven-metre 100 Gigabit QSFP28 active optical cable with multimode fibre and optical engines built into a single assembly. It reaches between neighbouring racks or along a row, and is lighter and more flexible than copper DAC cables of similar length. The vendor guide lists the product as a 100 Gbps QSFP28 to QSFP28 AOC for commercial temperature use. As the transceivers are permanently attached, there is no need to clean or match separate optics. Both ends need 100G QSFP28 ports, and the link operates as four 25G lanes. No breakout use is described for this part.
