A two-metre 100 Gigabit active optical cable with QSFP28 connectors, using multimode fibre inside a fixed assembly. It is intended for very short links where a thin, flexible cable is preferred over copper, such as within a congested rack or between switches stacked close together. The vendor lists a 0 to 70 degrees C range. Optical engines are built into each end, so there are no transceivers or MPO patch cords to manage. It connects two 100G QSFP28 ports and runs as four 25G lanes, not as a breakout. The vendor guide lists support on the CX 6300 (100G-port models), 8325, 8360, 9300, 9300S, 10000 and 10040 families, and lists it as not supported on the 6400 and 8400X. Longer cables in the series are R0Z27A at 7 m, R0Z28A at 15 m and R0Z29A at 30 m. Handle the fibre gently, and avoid bending below the minimum radius.
