The QSFP-100G-AOC2M is a 100 Gigabit active optical cable, 2 m long, with a QSFP28 connector at each end and multimode fibre carrying four 25G lanes between them. This length covers links within one rack, and reaches the next cabinet when the two racks stand side by side. Handle it by the connector bodies, keep the bend radius generous, and avoid tight ties that squeeze the jacket. The rate is fixed by the cable type, so the port at each end must be set for the matching speed. Plan the route before ordering, because a fixed-length cable cannot be shortened or extended later. Cisco's 100GBASE QSFP-100G data sheet lists it in the active optical cable table. Laying the cable in before the equipment is fully racked leaves the final connection for last and saves rework. The optics are sealed into the connector bodies, so there is no MPO fibre to clean and no module pairing to manage.
