Description
A coherent QSFP-DD module in the ZR+ class, based on the OpenZR+ multi-source agreement. It builds on the 400ZR design but adds more line-rate and shaping options: Cisco lists 200G with QPSK, 300G with 8-QAM and 400G with 16-QAM per wavelength, plus lower-baud 100G and 200G modes. That flexibility lets the same module serve regional and long-haul routes with several amplifier sites, trading data rate for distance, in addition to the metro links covered by plain ZR. The module tunes across the C band and replaces a separate transponder, so it plugs into a router port that supports coherent optics. Transmit power is stated as minus 8.0 dBm typical for 400G 16-QAM without shaping, and the maximum receive power is 13 dBm. Reach depends on the line system, so it is not given as a single figure.
