Description
A fifteen-metre 40 Gigabit QSFP+ active optical cable for links across rows in a data hall. The fibre and the optical engines are factory-assembled, so there are no separate transceivers or MPO patch cords to manage. The listed power is around 0.1 W per end and the temperature range is 0 to 70 degrees C. At this length it replaces a pair of SR4 modules plus a trunk cable, and it is lighter than a copper cable would be. Both ports must be 40G QSFP+ capable, or QSFP28 ports operating in 40G mode. The vendor guide lists support on the CX 6300, 8100, 8325, 8360, 8400X, 9300, 9300S, 10000 and 10040 families, and lists it as not supported on the 8320. Other lengths in the same product line are R0Z22A at 7 m and R0Z24A at 30 m. Keep the fibre inside its minimum bend radius to avoid signal loss or damage.
