A fifteen-metre 25 Gigabit active optical cable terminated in SFP28 connectors, the longest in this line. It is intended for connections that run between rows or across an aisle, where copper DACs would not reach and the need for patch panels or separate optics is unwanted. Each end consumes about 1 W, and the cable is rated for 0 to 70 degrees C. Optical fibre and transceivers are factory-matched inside the assembly, so only 25G SFP28 ports are needed at each end. The vendor guide lists support on the 5420, 6300L, 8325 48Y8C, 8325H, 8360, 8400X and 10000 switch families, with 25G AOCs listed as unsupported on the 8325 32C and 8325P models. Shorter versions are the 3 m R0M44A and the 7 m R0M45A. Use caution when bending the cable beyond its minimum radius, as the fibre inside can be damaged.
